ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" dir="ltr">The course is taught through a series of practical workshops as well as self-directed study and project-based learning. There will be no formal lectures as all course content will be embedded within workshop sessions. Specialist facilities have been developed on campus exclusively for this degree and you will be taught how to use them by a number of experienced staff.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" dir="ltr">Taught modules are devised to ensure active learning both of the subject matter and of the skills essential to postgraduate level study. In addition to scheduled class time, students are expected to undertake independent study, do research work, prepare for lectures and seminars, and work in groups. A number of assessment methods are used at Middlesex University, and these vary depending on the content of the modules being taught.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" dir="ltr">Assessment comprises a mixture of presentations, written assignments, case studies and placement logbooks. For example, students may give an oral presentation, read and comment on an academic article or write an academic essay. In addition, each module has a comprehensive range of on-line resources available for students to enhance their studies. Students receive detailed module handbooks each year with information on teaching and learning strategies, assessment methods and reading materials.</span></p>

Career opportunities exist for well-qualified sport performance analysts in both professional and amateur sports. Graduates can work as Performance Analyst, Sports Scientist, Coach, Sports Technology Consultant, Data Analyst. Graduates will also be capable of establishing their own consultancy business or progressing to additional study/research including MPhil/PhD.
