Course overview
A Collaborative Storytelling Lab by The UNMUTE Project & Middlesex University Dubai
In response to the overwhelming interest and heartfelt stories sparked by the UNMUTE: Mothers Who Write Event, The UNMUTE Project is thrilled to join hands with Middlesex University Dubai to present a one-of-a-kind, intensive storytelling lab.
This specially curated course is designed for aspiring writers, storytellers, and anyone with a voice waiting to be heard. During a dynamic 3.5 hour session, participants will dive deep into the art of personal storytelling—exploring structure, voice, emotion, and authenticity.
Whether you're writing to heal, to connect, or simply to be heard, this lab offers a safe, inspiring space to nurture your story and bring it to life with purpose and clarity.

Course Delivery
The course will be delivered over 3.5 hours at Middlesex University Dubai, Dubai Knowledge Park which the option to join on either:
- Saturday 14 June – 10AM – 1:30PM (GST)
- Wednesday 18 June – 9:30AM – 1PM (GST)
Certification
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate from Middlesex University Dubai and the chance to get published in the next UNMUTE magazine. Two of your stories (one non-fiction, short memoir and one fictional short story) will be chosen and featured.
