Student Research

The second edition of the International Conference on Technology, Innovation, and Sustainability in Business Management (ICTIS 2023) was held from 3-4 May 2023 and organised by leading faculty from Middlesex University Dubai’s Business School. Building on the success of the inaugural 2019 edition, this year's hybrid conference showcased over 110 presentations across 18 tracks and welcomed over 200 industry and academic presenters and speakers from more than 20 countries. 

On 9^th March 2023, the Office of Student Research (OSR) at Middlesex University Dubai proudly held the 10^th Annual Student Research and Innovation Showcase (SRIS). 

This showcase celebrates the standard of research being produced by our undergraduate and postgraduate students from across the university departments, giving them an opportunity to present their outstanding work to their peers, faculty and guests. 

Three hundred and thirty-five Middlesex University Dubai postgraduate students across a range of disciplines participated in the summer Virtual Research Boot Camp organised by the MDX Research Committee from June to September 2021.

Middlesex University Dubai Students recently competed at the 6^th United Arab Emirates Undergraduate Research Competition (URC) at Abu Dhabi University. This year’s competition attracted 800 students, representing 33 universities and presenting 260 research papers -  the largest URC to date.

As part of Middlesex University Dubai's commitment to enhancing the student experience and encouraging growth, alongside the UAE's national objectives for 2019, the ‘2019 BCS conference and Middlesex University Dubai Annual Student Research Conference’ was hosted at its Knowledge Park campus on 24th October. This was followed by the awards ceremony at Anantara Eastern Mangroves Hotel Abu Dhabi on 27th October 2019.

Middlesex University Dubai held its 6th Annual Student Research Symposium on 5 November 2017. Dame Janet Ritterman, Chancellor of Middlesex University and Professor Tim Blackman, Vice Chancellor of Middlesex University were on campus to discuss the fantastic research undertaken by both undergraduate and postgraduate students. While the past and current students were able to showcase their projects to faculty, peers, friends and family, the event also provided them with a platform for networking opportunities.

The 5^th Annual Student Research Symposium was held on Sunday November 13th in the LGS, Block 4. This annual event provides undergraduate and postgraduate students a forum to share their research findings with an audience of their peers, university staff, and family members. Each presenter discussed their work with the audience, expertly answering questions, and the displayed posters were of very high quality. All presenters were give participation certificates in recognition of the quality of their research, and ‘Best Poster’ awards were given to the top undergraduate and postgraduate presentations based on feedback from the judging panels.

Middlesex University Dubai is proud to announce the Seventh Emerging Research Paradigms in Business and Social Sciences (ERPBSS) conference. The international conference will be held from 13th to 15th May 2024 at Middlesex University Dubai Campus in Knowledge Park, Dubai. ERPBSS 2024 will be a hybrid conference with participants having an option of attending and presenting either in-person or virtually.
