MDX MUN Society Participate in Future We Want Model UN Conference 2025

The MDX Model United Nations Society competed at the Future We Want Model United Nations (FWW MUN) Conference held between 11 February 2025 and 14 February 2025.The FWWMUN Conference is renowned globally for its credibility and excellence and was hosted by the Italian Diplomatic Academy (IDA) and the World Council for Youth & Diplomacy (WCYD) this year. The conference took place across various prestigious cities worldwide including Geneva, Marrakesh, Paris, Brussels and Barcelona with the largest chapter held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This year, we sent a delegation of 25 students to participate as delegates in the Dubai event, where the delegates had the opportunity to engage in debates, negotiate with other countries, and collaborate on drafting and voting on resolutions that address the committee’s agenda topics. Countries from around the world were represented, such as Georgia, Italy, Russia, India, Pakistan and Kenya. Four outstanding MDX Dubai students achieved a remarkable milestone by being selected to serve in the FWW International Secretariat:Kate Nicole Mantua Velasquez (First-year LLB Law)Khadija Zakriya (Second-year BA Honours Marketing)Minnatalla Adlan (First-year LLB Law)Afrah Jinnah (First-year LLB Law)The selection process for these roles was highly competitive, so their achievement is an indication of their hard work and dedication. The Middlesex University Model United Nations Society is a student-led organisation dedicated to enriching students’ understanding of the United Nations’ institutional and political mechanisms. All students are welcome to join, more information here: https://www.mdx.ac.ae/model-un#about
