CEI Students attend Dubai Design Week

Last week our Computer Engineering and Informatics students attended the Global Grad Show during Dubai Design Week 2019. The students looked at a selection of graduate projects that focused on designing and creating innovative digital products and services that addressed social and environmental challenges. The students engaged in discussions with innovators regarding the challenges and their respective design solutions – helping the students to evaluate and review the design thinking process and developmental approach adopted in their final year projects. Students also experienced 3D printers and other technologies and participated in creative workshops such as rock panting and ceramic painting.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
