Law Awards Night Celebrates MDX Dubai’s Student Excellence

The law department at Middlesex University (MDX) Dubai hosted its third annual awards night, bringing together an inspiring evening of celebration, recognition, and reflection on the year’s achievements.
The event, held at MDX Dubai’s Dubai Knowledge Park campus on 29 May, was attended by industry professionals, academic staff, proud parents, and students, all united in honouring the exceptional talent within the university’s legal community.
This year’s ceremony showcased a notable rise in student participation in competitions. From mooting to criminal advocacy, MDX Dubai Law students have demonstrated increasing confidence, capability, and a global outlook - representing the University with distinction on both local and international platforms.
Among the evening’s honourees were:
- Kate Velasquez, awarded Best Speaker during MDX Mooting Week 2025
- Hannah Farukh and Vhinnrik Del Mundo, received an award for Best Team also during MDX Mooting Week 2025
- Meghna Naveen, awarded Best Advocate at the MDX Criminal Advocacy Competition
- Shree Rajesh and Meghna Naveen, recognised as the Best Team at the Criminal Advocacy Competition
- Hasmath Abdeen, Noor Abdelhai, Aishwarya Ragulenthiran, Olivia Foy and Mahek Syed for their efforts within the Mooting Society.
The awards celebrated not only academic and extracurricular excellence but also the dedication, teamwork, and perseverance that define the MDX Dubai legal community.
