Middlesex University Dubai’s MSc Corporate Marketing Communications Event

Students enrolled on Middlesex University Dubai’s prestigious MSc Corporate and Marketing Communications programme, along with the winners and runners up of the MDX Top Marketing Consultants Competition were addressed by a range of top industry professionals at the Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates on Saturday 10 March 2018.

The first session was presented by Ovais Naqvi, Managing Director of Abraaj Group, who gave an insightful talk on branding and marketing strategies. The next session was given by Nathalie Kachouh, a well-known Advertising Professional in the region, who talked about the importance of the use of colour in branding.

Camilla d’Abo, Entrepreneur and Communications expert named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year 2015’ by SME Advisor Middle East, gave a talk on branding and offered useful tips for students who wish to pursue a career within marketing communications. The final speaker for the event was Wasim Ben Khadra, Head of External Communications at Standard Chartered Bank, who shared his experience on crisis management – a vital area of the communications industry.

Campus Programme Coordinator, Dr Pujari stated that “The MScCMC team is keen to get experts in from the ‘real world’ to engage with students and this event sees over a century of marketing excellence showcased within a matter of hours. Ultimately, there is an assessment based on the day but those who participate gain immeasurably from interacting with leading lights in the local marketing and entrepreneurial community”.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
