9th Annual Conference of Applied Psychological Research in The Middle East tackles global mental health

The 9th Annual Conference of Applied Psychological Research in the Middle East led by our Psychology Department was held on 17th November, focusing on the theme of ‘Global Mental Health’. The conference was a hybrid event, with over 300 attendees and several international speakers joining us from Italy, the UK, Mauritius, Bahrain, India, and the UAE.
The conference began with a keynote address by Dr. David Giofre from the University of Genoa, who spoke about ‘Intelligence in children with neurodevelopmental disorders’. The programme then featured more research presentations and practitioners sharing industry insights, before ending with an engaging workshop about dealing with stress.
The event was a fantastic success, allowing our participants and students to exchange knowledge and hear the latest research in the field.
