Wunderman Thompson:15 + 1 Brand Strategy Rules

  • Wednesday, 23 December 2020

On November 23rd, 2020, Middlesex University Dubai welcomed Sasan Saeidi, Global Client Leader at Wunderman Thompson, to talk to our faculty and undergraduate students from the Business and Media schools.  Sasan spoke about the ‘15 + 1 brand strategy rules’. He shared the latest industry insights, research and thinking from many global brands and their approach to marketing and advertising since Covid 19 hit the world. As well as his global role with Nestle, Sasan is the Global Vice President with the International Advertising Awards. His insightful talk focused on the need for brands to have a purpose and engage in meaningful relationships ever more so now and the pivot from advertising to ‘actvertising’. The talk ended with a Q & A session with some very interesting points raised. The students thoroughly enjoyed the talk as could be seen from their comments – as soon as the talk ended students began posting about it on various SM platforms. Guest Speakers from industry are always welcomed. We believe they provide a great opportunity for students to link the theoretical content that they are learning to the real world. It ignites an interest in the subject and makes it all much more relatable. The session was delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams.
