FLN discusses the role of in-house counsels in different industries

The Future Lawyers Network held its fourth session on Sunday, 8th of October 2017. The session was joined by leading legal professionals: Joanne Fischlin, Lead Counsel at Microsoft Gulf; and Fadi Haddadin, Middle East Legal Director. The guests discussed with Middlesex University Dubai’s law students the roles of in-house counsels in different industries, including Technology, Pharmaceutical and Retail. Coming from very diverse backgrounds prior to their current in-house roles, the guests of the panel stressed the importance of exposure to different areas of practice, as well as of the acquisition of fundamental transferrable skills that enhance confidence and agility.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
