Middlesex University Dubai successfully hosts the SAP training for faculties.

Middlesex Dubai hosted a five day intensive training organized by SAP for faculties in MENA region. The workshop was titled “ERP Train the trainer workshop” and it involved hands-on experience on SAP ERP and other systems with expert trainers from SAP. The training was conducted by Mr. Stefan Weidner, the Executive Director for The University and Academic Competence Centers at the University of Magdeburg, Germany.

It was attended by delegates from Middlesex University Dubai, College of North Atlantic Qatar, University of Dubai, Khalifa University, Manipal University, Herriot Watt, German International Cooperation, IMT and American University of Dubai. The training started with an introduction of the SAP University Alliance given by Wissam Kadi MENA Regional Lead, University Alliances Program. This was followed by Stefan covering SAP product overview and the SAP UA EMEA Portal.  It was also interesting to get some insight on the SAP Education and learning Hub provided by SAP Education team: Jaco Van Zyl, Frank Naude and Shadi Zaytoon. The workshops were supplemented by talks on Big Data (SAP Hana), Learning Management Systems, ERP for education and many others.

This event was organized by the department of Computer Engineering and Informatics led by Dr. Fehmida Hussain. Middlesex University Dubai has a University Alliance (Associate) with SAP which is coordinated by Dr. Krishnadas Nanath (http://www.mdx.ac/middlesex-university-dubai-joins-sap-university-alliance-network/).

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
