A new year and a new term at university bring with them so many new possibilities – a chance to start again, reflect on last year’s achievements, and plan for everything you want to accomplish over the next 12 months.
For our new members of Team Middlesex, Monday 16 January is not only the start of term, but also the beginning of an exciting new journey as university students. To all our new community members: we are so proud to be part of this important part of your life, and we are delighted to welcome you to our community!
We’re also excited to welcome back all our returning students! Whether you’re entering your second semester as first years or looking forward to graduating at the end of the academic year, this is a really special time for you.
We encourage you to seize all the resources and opportunities available to you on campus and really make 2023 and this semester yours! We’re here to support you every step of the way. Here’s what you can look forward to this week and in the coming weeks as you settle into campus life.
Week of Welcome
Whether you’re new to university, new to Dubai or you’re returning to campus to start another semester with Middlesex University Dubai, your Week of Welcome for January 2023 will be something to remember.
This legendary event kick starts your first week on campus, where you can meet new friends for life, discover new interests and hobbies, sign up to sports and social clubs, and have an enriching experience both inside and outside of the classroom.

Student Support Hub
The Student Support Hub is back in January 2023 to help all students with enquiries related to starting university. Visit the Student Support Hub locations in Block 15, Block 16 and Block 17, Dubai Knowledge Park, from 8AM-7.30PM from 16-27 January 2023 (between Monday to Friday) to receive guidance and help with:
- Your academic timetable
- Your application and enrolment
- Accessing all the digital resources you need
- Student Transportation Service
- Your student visa
- Student ID cards
- And everything else related to starting university at MDX Dubai
Student Council
Are you wanting to make a change to your student experience at Middlesex University Dubai? Do you want to represent your fellow students on campus? Nominate yourself today to be part of the 2022-2023 Student Council!
This opportunity is open to all students – and we want to hear from students from all years and programmes. As a Student Council member, you will represent all MDX Dubai students in matters affecting their educational experience. The Council aims to establish a recognised means of communication between the student body and the University authorities, as well as with other organisations.
Register now by 27 January 2023 to tell us why you should become a Student Council member. We will contact successful candidates between 30 January and 3 February 2023.
