This AI and Analytics Essentials in HR programme is designed to equip HR professionals with practical skills to harness the power of data, artificial intelligence, and automation for effective decision-making and employee experience enhancement. 
Through a hands-on approach, participants will explore tools such as PowerBI, ChatGPT, Microsoft CoPilot, Power Automate, and Julius AI, while also learning the essentials of data storytelling, sentiment analysis, predictive modeling, and ethical governance in AI. This programme bridges technical application with strategic insight, empowering HR teams to become drivers of innovation in the workplace.

PROGRAMME DELIVERY

The programme will be delivered over 3 days at Middlesex University Dubai, Dubai Knowledge Park based on the following schedule:

  • Saturday 14  June - 10.00AM – 4.00PM - AI and Analytics in HR
  • Wednesday 18 June - 6.00PM – 9.00PM - Prompting and Data Handling
  • Saturday 21 June - 10.00AM – 4.00PM - Automating HR workflows and implications for Ethics and Governance

Note: Above dates may vary depending on availability of faculties and university facilities.

CERTIFICATION

After the successful completion of the full programme, the participants will receive a joint certificate from Middlesex University Dubai Insights LAB, People Analytics Society, and Augmented Workforce.

Who will I be taught by?

Dr Supriya Kaitheri

Programme Leader     
Dr Supriya is currently working as a senior lecturer in the Business School at the Middlesex University Dubai campus, where she also heads the MA International Business Management programme. She brings extensive professional experience in the field of Data Analytics and Quantitative Methods. She has led numerous corporate training sessions in the area of business analytics and data visualisation. Prior to joining Middlesex, she completed her doctoral studies at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. Supriya also graduated with a Gold Medal in Computer Science and Engineering.

David van Lochem

Co-founder & CEO of Augmented Workforce       
David van Lochem is the Co-founder & CEO of Augmented Workforce, a consultancy specialised in HR Technology and People Analytics. He also co-founded People Analytics Connect. He has held senior regional and global HR leadership roles in tech companies for almost 20 years. He is well known as thought leader and speaker on how he has used people & business data to improve performance, as well on how technology will advance the field moving forward. He believes in the mantra “from data to action” and focuses a lot on how to ensure insights are relevant and prompt leaders to take action now.

Simmi Nagpal

HR Strategy and People Analytics Director, Schneider Electric       
Simmi has over 17 years of work experience as HR COE, Business Partner and HR Consultant in the Middle East, Africa and India. Knowledge of human resource frameworks and holistic business understanding. Area of expertise include HR strategy and transformation, analytics, digital technologies, Total rewards, Performance and strategic workforce planning. She was heading people analytics function for Majid Al Futtaim Group, and currently leading the HR strategy and analytics at Schneider electric for Middle East and Africa.
