  • Thursday, 14 March 2024

On 7 March 2024, the faculty at Middlesex University Dubai left campus and took off for an adventure at Dubai Safari Park. Organised by the Teaching and Learning Committee, the staff embarked on a journey that included train and bus rides for safari exploration, giraffe feeding, bird shows, and a walk through the African village, participating in various activities before lunch. They enjoyed Dubai Safari Park’s main attraction—the guided Safari Village drive-through, where they were taken on a journey through African and Asian villages to explore the wildlife up close in the Safari buses. The safari guides shared exciting stories and fun facts about crocodiles, buffalos, lions, tigers, hippos, rhinos, zebras, baboons, antelopes, hyenas, giraffes, and more.

‘Away-Days’ are an opportunity for faculty get to know each other, form bonds, share ideas, and introduce new faculty members without the academic setting of campus.

The day was nothing short of thrilling, as they explored the nature and wildlife, exhilarating activities, and team bonding activities. The faculty got a chance to closely interact with various animals, large and small, including mammals, reptiles, and birds. They also learned about the research, conservation, and wildlife preservation initiatives of Dubai Safari Park.
