Your final university checklist

Have you done everything you need to do to start university?

The new academic year starts very soon! Here’s all the information you need to make your big move to Dubai as seamless as possible.

Make sure you’ve got the following things checked off your list:

  • Unconditional offer letter – Your Admissions Counsellor will send you this when you’ve submitted all the documents outlined on your original offer letter. You need it to confirm your enrolment.

  • Enrolment – Once you’ve received the instructions and login details via email, you need to complete your enrolment as soon as possible.

  • Tuition fee deposit - Ensure you have paid your deposit. You can speak to your Admissions Counsellor if you have questions about your payment plan.

  • Before you leave your home country

  • Student Visa – You should have received an email asking you to start your visa application process. If you haven’t received your student visa documentation yet, please connect with our Visa Team at visa@mdx.ac.ae as soon as possible to complete this process and find out the status of your visa as a priority.

  • Accommodation – Ensure you have booked your student accommodation before you travel.

  • Flight and Airport Welcome – We offer a free airport pick-up service for international students who are staying at The Myriad student accommodation. Make sure you book your pick-up service at least 72 hours’ in advance. Book now

  • PCR Test – Depending on your country of origin, you may be required to take an additional PCR test when you arrive at the airport in Dubai. Please check with your flight operator for the most up-to-date information. If you have been in the UAE for longer than 10 days, you do not need to submit a PCR test to come to campus. However, if you have been in the country less than 10 days, you must submit a PCR test that has been taken in Dubai within the last 48 hours to hso@mdx.ac.ae before you can come to campus.

  • Proof of Vaccination – If you’ve been vaccinated, ensure you have a copy of your vaccination certificate that is easily accessible in case you are asked for this during your journey to Dubai.

  • Connect with us – We publish regular resources, tips and information about the September 2021 intake on our social media channels. Follow @middlesexdubai on all channels to stay up-to-date.
