  • Monday, 7 November 2022

High-performing graduates from Middlesex University Dubai's IAA-accredited BA (Hons) Advertising, PR and Branding programme were recognised this week at a special ceremony held within its new campus building in Dubai Knowledge Park. Alumni from the graduating classes of 2021 and 2022 were presented certificates from the International Advertising Association (IAA) in recognition of their performance during their time as undergraduates of Dubai's largest British university. The University's faculty and management team welcomed families and friends to this celebratory reunion.

Certificates were presented by Douglas Palau, IAA's Area Vice-President for the Middle East, in the presence of Dr Cedwyn Fernandes, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Director at Middlesex University Dubai; Priya Azaredo, General Manager for IAA UAE; Dr David Tully, Campus Programme Coordinator for Media; and lecturers Stephen King, Deema Maghalseh and Nathalie Kachouh.

The International Advertising Association (IAA) is one of the world’s most influential networks of marketing and marketing communications professionals whose qualifications are highly sought after by employers. Middlesex University Dubai successfully attained IAA accreditation in 2020 in order to help its students realise the best opportunities in the creative industries.

The University offers a range of Media programmes, covering subjects such as Media, Advertising, Public Relations, Digital Media, Communications and Journalism. Middlesex's Media students engage with industry and build their practical experience from the beginning of their studies, through guest speakers, industry trips, work experience and internships. Current graduates are currently pursuing further study or working for a range of prominent media companies in the UAE and around the world, including ITP Media Group and Houbara Communications.
