Last week, Middlesex University (MDX) Dubai welcomed an academic delegation from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), one of the largest and globally renowned universities in Malaysia. The delegation was headed by their Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor, and Dr. Amirul Afif Muhamat, Deputy Dean, Research and Innovation. They were received by Dr. Cody Paris, Deputy Director Academic Planning and Research, and other MDX Dubai faculty members.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the ongoing partnership between MDX Dubai and UiTM and explore future collaboration prospects. Afterward, the UiTM delegation was given a tour of the MDX Dubai campus in Dubai Knowledge Park, where they witnessed the University’s modern facilities and labs.
The two Universities had earlier signed a Memorandum of Understanding in a virtual ceremony in March 2022 to work closely across various disciplines. The two parties discussed several mutual areas of interest, including:

- Exchange opportunities for students and staff
Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor, Vice-Chancellor of UiTM, said, “I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful and heart-warming reception and hosting. I am deeply touched and hope to be able to reciprocate your kindness when it is your turn to visit our university.”
