Burjeel Holdings and Middlesex University Dubai Forge Partnership

In a move to shape the future of healthcare education and training in the region, Middlesex University (MDX) Dubai have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Burjeel Holdings.
The MoU was signed on 7 May 2025, at Burjeel Holdings Headquarters in Abu Dhabi, by Professor Cedwyn Fernandes, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Middlesex University and Director, Middlesex University Dubai; and John Sunil, CEO, Burjeel Holdings.
Burjeel Holdings is a leading private healthcare provider based in the United Arab Emirates, operating a network of more than 100 healthcare facilities, including hospitals, medical centres, pharmacies, and specialised clinics. They are known for their focus on complex medical treatments and have been recognised for their excellence in healthcare and investor relations.
The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world practice, focusing on key areas including healthcare management, psychology training, and professional development. Through this collaboration, both institutions are committed to enhancing student learning experiences and advancing research and innovation.
The MoU outlines joint initiatives such as student internships, scholarship opportunities, research collaborations, and customised training programmes. These initiatives are designed to equip students with practical skills, industry exposure, and a deeper understanding of the healthcare sector.
