MDX Dubai to Open Second Learning Space in Dubai International Academic City

Middlesex University Dubai announced today the launch of a new learning space in Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), which opens this September 2021! This second campus location in the UAE marks the next stage in our development and is a core part of our efforts to innovate our teaching and learning, and provide all our students with a positive, supportive environment in which to pursue their quality UK degree during the pandemic.
We’re also setting a new record in UAE higher education, as this is the first time an international university in Dubai will offer a multi-site campus experience across both of the emirate’s international higher educational hubs, Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City. All programmes taught at DIAC in September will also be taught in Dubai Knowledge Park, offering our students on these courses the choice of two innovative campus experiences!
Students pursuing their UK degree in DIAC will be fully integrated into the wider global Team MDX student community based at our main Dubai Knowledge Park campus and will be eligible for the same benefits, such as the range of scholarships and grants, but will also enjoy their own state-of-the-art facilities, learning labs and independent study spaces. Our DIAC campus will host a new Student Think Tank, a dedicated innovation lab providing an open, welcoming space for all Middlesex students to brainstorm and try out their ideas, whether they are thinking of ways to enhance their academic programme; write their dissertations; or bring their start-up concept to life.
In addition, our new DIAC location will significantly reduce travel costs for undergraduate and postgraduate students based in the Northern Emirates and in the outer areas of Dubai. It is also very convenient for those staying at The Myriad, our student accommodation provider, which is located only five minutes away from our new location.
Programmes on offer during Phase One of the DIAC campus will be the Science and Technology pathway of our renowned International Foundation Programme, alongside the full selection of BA Honours Business Management programme specialisms. For the professional learner, we also plan to offer our MSc Data Science and part-time MA Education in September, subject to approvals. We will be releasing more information about this soon.
