Kortext eTextbooks now available for MDX students

Kortext eTextbooks are now available for Middlesex University Dubai students for all modules that have a Kortext eTextbook assigned. The scheme is run in partnership with the company Kortext and our home campus in Hendon (UK).
In total, more than 900 Kortext eTextbooks have been added to the libraries ebook collection (bring the total to more than 129,000 ebooks) and are available for all students to access. This includes all Kortext eTextbooks assigned to their own modules as well as all Kotext eTextbooks assigned to all modules in Hendon and Dubai. These books will appear in results of Library Search.
Personal Kortext eTextbooks for your own modules (where a Kortext book has been assigned) are accessible directly through Kortext.
Dr Cody Morris Paris - Deputy Director stated:
“The addition of Kortext eTextbooks to our libraries digital collection is a reflection of the wider support we provide for students to achieve their learning goals. With the addition of more than 900 Kortext e-textbooks, Middlesex University Dubai student now have access to 130,000 eBooks and 135,000 online academic journals through more than 140 online databases. This resources are available to students whenever they need to access them, the importance of which has been compounded by the online and blended learning models adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Library Manager, Dr Dorian Lange added:
“The Library has added Kortext e-books to our already extensive collection of online e-resources. Kortext allows Middlesex Dubai students free online access to the core texts they require for their courses. Kortext are a welcome addition to the vast e-resource collection of the Library.”
Access to Kortext books have been well received by students. Ishita Karamchandani said: “It's been helpful for us since we do not have to worry about the limited number of copies getting taken away by the students from the library. This is helped us overcome the fear of missing out on the essential topics, especially during this pandemic. It indeed is very convenient for us to access it online from anywhere at any point in time.”
