First year MBA students receive their first ALE certificates

  • Wednesday, 14 November 2018

MBA students from our September 2018 intake experienced their first Applied Learning Experience session earlier this week. The Applied Learning Experiences (ALE) and Executive Skills Development (ESD) sessions are essential components of our MBA programme, and these tailor made, stand-alone management level workshops run along the lines of corporate training programmes.

The ALEs comprise; a two day entrepreneurship programme featuring a shark tank and elevator pitch with real life entrepreneurs as the panel, an applied marketing project where groups of students create a product or service concept that will meet the expectations of the target market and an international field trips (previous places have included Shanghai, Milan and Paris). Before the students tackle these challenging and rewarding sessions, they undertake a weekend long Katalan Leadership and Team Development programme which enables students to be immersed in experiential learning to enhance skills and test theory through a series of practical activities.

Our MBA features nine different pathways and can be studied on either a full-time (one year) or part-time (two year) basis. Admissions are now open for January 2019 and you can find out more about this exciting and dynamic programme at www.mdx.ac.ae/mba.
