Feedback on academic enrichment sessions from UG and PG students is generally very positive as students find the content useful and immediately applicable. Much of this material is based on International Foundation Programme workshops as the skills taught on IFP are skills that can be acquired at any point in one’s academic development.

One of the most popular sessions I teach is this one where in a short space of time I try to give students the full research interview experience from designing interviews, conducting them, analyzing data and disseminating results all in one class. Straight after the session they go into the field to conduct interviews armed with a little bit of experience behind them.

This session aims to give you the same experience the students get. You will need to bring a recording device (a phone will do) and lots of energy as you aim to complete the process against the clock.  On completion you can reflect on how you might incorporate a similar activity into your own classes.
