Nomadic Urbanization

About the Collection

Nomadic Urbanisation explores the intersection of nomadic Turkmen traditions and contemporary urbanisation through fashion design. Inspired by the fluid lifestyle of Turkmen nomads, my project reinterprets traditional patterns and motifs in contemporary context. My collection reflects the development of identity and heritage, while remaining rooted in cultural memory. In line with sustainability, I used pure linen in my design. Linen is a natural fibre known for its minimal environmental impact. Incorporating linen with traditional embroidery, the collection not only pays homage to Turkmen history, but also embraces a more conscious fashion philosophy that challenges fast fashion by deep respect for both nature and cultural heritage.
