Ethereal Rebirth

About the Collection

Ethereal Rebirth is a collection about the journey of the entrapped soul, from caged to redemption, reaching enlightenment, and redeeming itself to a superior version of itself. The voluminous cape features gathered layers symbolising emotional chaos, while soft drapes hint at hope slowly unfolding. The oversized pants, reshaped into a jumpsuit, include chains and raw cut-outs to express restraint and vulnerability. I incorporated sustainability into my design by choosing pure cotton for its natural, biodegradable qualities and timeless feel for the cape, while the jumpsuit is made using leftover denim pieces, transformed through expressive patchwork. By giving discarded materials a new life, the design reflects the soul’s transformation to a new purpose, fighting against short lived products and the fast fashion mindset.
