MDX Business School Case Study Competition 2015-16

For the fifth year running, Middlesex University Dubai organized the Business School Case Study Competition. Based on the success of the previous years, Middlesex University Dubai invited undergraduate students from UAE universities to participate.

Middlesex University Dubai works closely with leading employers in the UAE and in the region to enhance employment prospects for graduates and internships for current students. In line with academic and professional initiatives of Middlesex University Dubai, the case study competition aimed to further encourage collaboration among the academia and corporate world in Dubai.

The Grand Finale of the MDX- Inter University Case study Competition 2015-16 was held on February 23, 2016.It was a highly competitive and exciting event with team demonstrating excellent research, analysis presentation  skills with a rigorous Q & A session. The finalist teams presentations were much appreciated by the judges and audience.

The judging panel besides Senior Middlesex Faculty consisted of prominent professionals from the on line shopping sector:, Shedd-Dubizzle, Landmark Group, Al Futtaim e-commerce, Reckitt Benckiser and Alpen Capital.  The event was sponsored by Rivoli Group and Al-Futtaim Logistics.

The winners and runners up were as follows:

Winners : Team Revenution ( Middlesex University Dubai) – AED 10,000 and Mon Blanc writing instrument

1st Runner up: The Originals ( Middlesex University Dubai-  AED 5000

2nd Runner up: The A team  ( Amity University Dubai )     - AED 5000

3rd Runner: Team Galactic (SZABIST Dubai) – Mont Blanc leather goods

Special category of award was also given, which were as follows:

Best Presenter:   Melissa Lobo ( Team Originals) – prize sponsored by Mont Blanc

Best Case Analysis: (Team Ophiuchus – BITS Dubai)  - prize sponsored by Mont Blanc

The case study competition was organized the team of  Ms Muneeza Shoaib, Dr Vijaya Kumar and Ms. Neelofer Mashood.
