Looking back on Gradstock Employability Festival 2022

Our Careers and Employability Services (CES) team in partnership with our academic departments hosted Gradstock Employability Festival 2022 on Wednesday 5 October for our recent alumni and current students.
The action-packed programme had 951 attendees engage with 47 leading organisations including Michael Page, Google, Hilti, PwC, Cognizant, Bayut/Dubizzle and Axiom Telco. A number of global professional bodies such as ACCA, CIPD and IMA offered career advice and certification opportunities.
This was also an event that highlighted our ‘one global university’ strategic approach. Students and alumni at our London campus and in Dubai had the opportunity to attend a series of simultaneous employability sessions and MasterClasses across campuses through virtual conferencing. Through this employability festival, students and graduates were offered opportunities to:
- Access internship and job vacancies
- Enhance employability skills through professional networking
- Increase their knowledge and understanding of different industries
- Hear from employers about the skills and attributes that determine future career success
- Meet with MDX alumni who have transitioned successfully from being students to established professionals in their field
- Learn about the abundance of support available from CES and wider university services
- Have professional quality profile photographs taken
- Get involved and be part of the #TeamMDX community
Gradstock Employability Festival 2022 was an important step early in the academic year toward making our graduates 100% employable and accomplishing our mission of putting knowledge into practice to improve our communities.
The CES team at Middlesex University Dubai aim to support students of the University by understanding their individual career goals and aspirations to support them in achieving future success.
