Graduation Tickets

Tickets are now on sale for Graduation 2018!

Type A
Graduate Only

*Costs include 5% VAT

Payment options:

  1. You can make payment online by clearly stating your name and MISIS number, ceremony, number of extra guest tickets. When you pay simply tick ‘graduation’ and ‘other’ and type in the ticket type you wish to purchase. If your intake year is not available, please choose any year and your MISIS number will be checked.
  2. Bank transfer using the below bank details:

  3. Make payment at the Finance Office directly

*Please note that tickets once purchased are non-refundable.
*Children below 5 years accompanying their family can enter free but will not be allotted a seat.

Please note that your ticket will be reserved once the Finance Office has received your payment. Both online and cash payments take between 2-3 days to process and you will receive a confirmation receipt to your email address once processed.

Once you have purchased your tickets you can collect them from the Marketing Department from Sunday – Thursday, 8am to 5pm.

1) Registration opens at 8am
Upon arrival at the registration desk, please show your graduation tickets and guest tickets.

Registration closes at 9:50am

Guests will be seated by our seating marshals as seats have been allocated according to the ticket number.

Graduates will be issued with a seating card for the ‘graduate seating only’ area and you must ensure you are seated as allocated.

2) Individual Portrait Photography

Photography from 8:30am to 10:00am (Pre-Ceremony)

Photography from 1pm to 2:30pm (Post-Ceremony)

Details of photography will be sent to you in a separate email, and you must ensure you follow the correct process for this.

*Please note that all other photography will take place on the day, including receiving the award, walking from the stage, and other generic shots from the day.

3) Pre-Ceremony Refreshments

Pre-Ceremony refreshments will be available from 8:30am to 9:45am, with soft drinks available upon arrival for graduates and their guests.

4) Seating

Graduates must be seated by 10:15am and guests seated by 10:45am.

5) Award Collection Demonstration

Once seated, graduates will be given a demonstration of how they should collect their award on stage from the Vice Chancellor. Ensure that you listen carefully so that you are aware of what you are required to do.

6) Ceremony Begins

Your graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 11am. Please be aware that this is a formal occasion and you must ensure that you remain quiet and mobile phones should be switched off or put on silent. Once you have received your certificate you must return to your seat until the ceremony closes.

7) Ceremony Closes

The ceremony will close promptly at 1pm. Make your way out of the ballroom as instructed to the reception area and outside terrace for the refreshment reception.

8) Event Closes at 2pm

Gowning

Your gown is complimentary as part of your graduate ticket – no additional payment required.

Graduation gowns can be collected from Gown Collection Desk, Block 16, Main Reception from Sunday 14 October until Thursday 15 November 2018 (9am - 5pm).

*Please note you must show your graduation ticket receipt/MDX Student Card in order to receive your gown

We encourage graduates to arrive at the venue ready with their gowns in place. There will however be dressing rooms should this be required.

Photography

Photography will take place on the day. You will have the opportunity to decide on a package after the event of which options will be available for you to choose from.

Photography on the day will include the following:

  1. Individual photo in cap and gown
  2. Receiving degree from the Vice Chancellor
  3. Various others

*We encourage you to be at the venue 45 minutes before the ceremony starts in order to have your individual photo shoot. Please note: there will be time after the ceremony should this be required.

You can download the photography prices and order form by clicking here. You will be required to bring the order form with you and payment must be made on the day of your Graduation Ceremony, either via cash or card.

Please note that the team will be available to take photographs two hours prior to the ceremony, during the ceremony and for individual and family pictures directly after the ceremony has taken place. Photographs will be available for collection within 1 month from placing the order and an email will be sent to graduates from The Imprint Studio to arrange collection.

Merchandise

University Merchandise sales will commence in Block 16, Main Reception area from Sunday 21 October 2018, there will be a wide range of items that will be available as graduation gifts starting from just AED 15.
Merchandise sales will also available at the Graduation venue.
