Premiere de MDX Studios 2023

Middlesex University Dubai’s famous annual film festival for graduating students is back in 2023 with an exceptional series of groundbreaking films!

Powered by MDX Studios, our full-scale on-campus production house, and supported by our partner Blackmagic Design, this year’s Premiere de MDX Studios will be a spectacular showcase of film and media talent in the Middle East.

Invitees will experience five original productions that bring to life untold stories inspired by young people, communities, cultures, and prominent topics of discussion across the world. They will also hear the views of our final year BA (Honours) Film students and attending industry professionals on the future of this creative, exciting and burgeoning industry in the UAE.

This year’s Premiere de MDX Studios will take place at Xtreme at Roxy Cinemas Dubai Hills, the largest cinema screen in the MENA region, offering an incredibly immersive cinematic experience. We are the only university film school to offer the opportunity – and challenge! – for our students to premiere their final year masterpieces on a screen equipped with the latest cinema technology.
