Women in Finance (WiF): Towards an Equal Future

Aim: Enhance industry engagement with academia, build collaborations and facilitate the exchange of knowledge by creating a practitioners’ discussion forum for women professionals in the finance industry.

Objective: Provide a platform for women finance professionals to lead the discussion of contemporary issues in finance.

Audience: Open to all practitioners.

Men outnumber women in the financial industry, particularly in C-suite positions. However, the numbers are improving gradually. Research shows that women bring great value to teams, especially in finance. Committees that have at least one woman member outperform those that only comprise of men. Middlesex University Dubai is joining the conversation and setting up a WiF forum. The forum will comprise working professionals, including alumni and will hold bi-annual meetings discussing contemporary issues in finance.
