Industry Insights: Ameera Khawaja

MDX students are invited to attend an ICON Studios Industry Insights with speaker Ameera Khawaja.

Ameera Khawaja is a Palestinian American expert in fashion design and textiles who graduated with honours from the University of Sharjah 2018. Since a very young age she showed great interested in fashion and always stood out with a creative sense of style. Resilience was always the strongest motivation in her journey.

With a keen eye for authentic and meaningful designs, her work is more than just garments and sketches. Ameera uses her collection and craft to spread awareness about her rich culture and heritage. Many of her projects have been inspired by challenging situations she has gone through; her passion for fashion was her unique way of expressing herself by blurring the boundaries between modernism, history of art and fashion design.
