Human Intelligence Series: Tushar Vartak

Join us for the next Human Intelligence Series organised by the Media Department at MDX Dubai. These sessions aim to introduce our students to the regional figures leading the wave in all things digital marketing, meta, IoT, AI, block, NFT and beyond.

On Tuesday 13 November we will welcome Tushar Vartak, Head of Cyber Security at RAKBANK.

Tushar is a cybersecurity leader with over 20 years of experience in IT Risk Management. He holds prestigious certifications, including SABSA Chartered Security Architect, CISSP, CISM, and CITRA on OCTAVE and OCTAVE Allegro. Tushar has been instrumental in guiding global banks towards robust cybersecurity defences. His expertise encompasses cyber threat hunting, SOC management, cyber threat intelligence, and security program management.

Tushar has significantly contributed to the cybersecurity community as an author of the OWASP Testing Guide, IDRBT Cloud Security Framework, and IDRBT Information Security Framework, establishing industry-wide standards and best practices. Recognized for his strategic acumen with awards such as the Asian Banker, ISACA CISO of the Year, and Asian Banking and Finance awards for Cyber Security leadership, Tushar's leadership has elevated cybersecurity profiles and fostered trust among customers and partners. He is also interested in AI, machine learning, and quantum computing, and enjoys experimenting with these technologies.
