Join Dr David Tully for a 45 minute taster session on 'Storytelling 101'. Fusing film history and film theory, we’ll look at a variety of storytelling styles, genres and modes over the past one hundred years of the Cinema Century, from silent films to Netflix streamers. Analysing not only the obvious differences but also what stays the same, we will break down the core components of story – so that by class’s end, you’ll be able to go out and make your own, not as guesswork but as craftsmanship.
