Join Philip Anderson, our Lecturer in Education and Early Childhood Studies, for the second edition of our virtual Teacher Wellbeing Series! In this session for teachers, schools counsellors and education professionals, Philip will be discussing the importance of nurturing creativity in the classroom.
Creativity is an essential skill that enriches all subjects. The KHDA requires schools to allow students to “think creatively”, “solve problems”, and demonstrate “creative and critical thinking”. In an environment that often focuses on exam readiness, allowing learners to experiment and examine alternative approaches is essential. As well as being a sustainable skill for future employability, engaging in creative activities positively impacts wellbeing and provides an outlet for self-expression.
This interactive session will explore concepts of creativity, how to nurture it, and develop life-long learning skills in students.
