<p>The MSc Legal Technology Programme offers a unique intersection of law and technology integrating legal theory with technological applications. It aims to educate law graduates, legal professionals and IT/computing graduates on legal technology innovations transforming legal practice today and in the future. Students will acquire a holistic understanding of innovative applications of technology to different areas of legal practice and theoretical analysis of their fundamentals, as well as develop practical skills that will enable them to pursue successful careers in legal practice with a focus on the use of technology.</p>

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

<p>The course is taught through a combination of lecture delivery, seminar discussions, small group and individual exercises and assignments, lab sessions and an individual project. Students are engaged in relating theory to practise through critical evaluation and selection of techniques and solutions.<br><br>Classes are held at our Dubai Knowledge Park campus (Block 15, 16, 17, and 19) during Mondays to Fridays between 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Unless otherwise specified in the programme timetable, students will receive sufficient advance notice for any additional weekends or holiday cover periods. For the legal technology project, students will work individually on their thesis with some supervised elements.<br><br>Taught by qualified professionals in this field, students benefit from real-life cases and experiences. Students engage in developing inventive solutions for legal service delivery and practise management by using new tools and methodologies applied on legal technology landscape. The study of ethical challenges concerning privacy, confidentiality, and the responsible utilisation of legal tech helps them in understanding the legal implications of cybersecurity breaches and how to integrate risk management strategies into legal practise.<br><br>Throughout the duration of study, a variety of assessment methods are employed, which may vary depending on the content of the modules being taught. Assessment includes a combination of presentations, practical assignments, case studies, tests and feedback exercises, and research report. Students can utilise a wide range of learning, teaching, and assessment strategies to enrich their studies. Each module has a comprehensive collection of online resources through the university’s virtual learning environment and Library Services.&nbsp;</p>
