Middlesex University Dubai Media & Communications Department will be hosting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Festival at our Campus on 19th April from 9:30 am – 10:30 am. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Festival will be inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi , UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment. In attendance will be H.H. Sheikha Shamma Bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan. They will be joined by H.E. Philip Parham , British Ambassador to the UAE and Larisa Miller, Co-Chair of Beacon of Hope.
Middlesex University Dubai lecturer Mr. Stephen King who works closely with the Beacon of Hope initiative has mentored fifty of Middlesex University Dubai’s First-year Media & Communications students who will be advocating for their chosen United Nation Global Goal in a series of activities including competitions, plays and performances, talks from industry professionals and an industry fair. Our students have received amazing support and engagement from the local community including Beacon of Hope UAE, Emirates Wildlife Association/WWF, Emirates Environmental Group, and Green Hope UAE, as well as international actors for social good - the United Nations Department of Communications and Public Information and Project Everyone.
