CODEJAM: The Coding Hackathon

Theme: E-Health, E-Learning and E-Government


The Contest is a challenging and fun opportunity for high school/college level students to improve their programming skills.


The contents encourages the development of creative problem-solving and communication skills as students work with their teammates to generate solutions to programming problems. Solutions will be judged for correctness and speed of solving.


The event is aimed primarily at high school and university students inside UAE. Students will work in teams of two.


Registration will be based on first come first serve policy. Only first 30 teams will get a chance to register.

November 21st, 2016 from 9:30 AM – 1 PM (3 hours contest excluding a coffee break). Students will be given three hours to code and five minutes to pitch their ideas.  The contest will be held in parallel with Oracle Day The contest will be held in parallel with Oracle Day. Oracle day is an event aimed at exposing high school/college faculty to the dynamic range of opportunities Computer Science has to offer! Oracle will give students a leg up on what types of jobs are available for CS majors, and how to best prepare for them. 

Certificate & Prizes

All registered participants that complete the contest will receive a Certificate of Attendance. The students will formulate teams of two students and work on problems set. Winners of the contest will be receiving laptops, and runners up team will win Tablets at the end of the Oracle day.

Required Resources: 

Each student group will bring their laptops.
