BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, is committed to making IT good for society, having over 70,000 members world-wide (created in 1957 based in the U.K.)

The Chartered Institute for IT (BCS) Middle East Section covering GCC, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon & Egypt was established in 2005. Under the Patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, the BCS ICT 2017 Conference will be held On October 29, 2017. To know more about the conference, Click here 
As Part of the Conference, in the spirit of the Year of Giving, this year’s programme includes a National Level Student Competition. The objective of this event is to provide students a unique platform where they use technology to showcase their creativity and enhance their interest in the areas of Mobility, Security, Communication, Collaboration, Environment and Wellness for the Future Cities, which is aligned with the UAE's Vision 2021 launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to ensure sustainable development while preserving the environment, and to achieve a perfect balance between economic and social development.

Intellectual Property of the application remains with the students who developed the system.

For third round, you will be assigned 12 minutes to present your work 

  1. PowerPoint Presentation explaining
    •  the project rational/ goals/ aims in relation the chosen theme
    • target users
    • Functionality/ features of the application.
    • Implementation Details: IDE and language used, target mobile devices
    • Evaluation of the application (optional)
  2. Demonstration of the application
  3. Q&A: 3 minutes

We welcome you to come along with your mentors if required.

For (2), you are supposed to bring your own device with IDE and the project installed and ready to run the executable project for demonstration.
