Accounting and Finance students secure top prizes in Audit Analyst 2022 competition

  • Monday, 28 March 2022

The grand finale of the Audit Analyst 2022 competition, which was designed for our third year Accounting and Finance students, took place throughout March. Students in a group of 4-5 members suggested the audit process and opinion for a non-profit organisation operating during a pandemic. The case study used for this competition was authored by MDX Dubai star Alumni Orpha Suares, the regional topper at the ACCA professional level in Audit and Assurance paper and who is now working for KPMG.

The competition had two rounds. The first round was held on March 14th 2022, during which the teams had to submit their analysis in a Powerpoint format. The top three teams participated in the grand finale on March 21st 2022. The panel of judges - Mohammad Baseer (MDX alumni, 2014 batch), Ms Pallavi Kishore, and Ms Rashita Puthiya - were impressed by our students’ analysis and the spot-on answers they gave during the Q&A session. Many thanks to Dr Vijaya Kumar for organising the event and Al Futtaim Logistics for sponsoring the prizes.

Congratulations to this year’s winners and runners’ up, who secured the following prizes:

  • Winners – Yvette Yashavantha, Sradha Thankappan, Ramona Menezes and Sanjana Sridhar: AED 1000
