  • Sunday, 3 October 2021

Reham Salman, our BSc. IT graduate (2021 cohort), has emerged as the winner for the Middle East & North Africa region at the Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge 2021. Reham enrolled for the challenge in May 2021 while still at university with an AI-themed innovative idea named CLIN.AI

Established by Social Shifters, a global network of next generation leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs, the Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge 2021 provided a platform for 18-30 year olds to take entrepreneurial action on social and environmental issues that matter to them.

Reham was announced as a finalist in early September, having made it to the top 50 from among 1,000+ entries globally. On 22nd September, she pitched her idea in front of a panel of judges and received amazing feedback for having a thoughtful presentation covering all relevant aspects related to the idea, despite being a one-member team.

On 27th September in an online event, Reham was announced as the regional winner. She will be receiving a prize of $2,500 to further develop her idea and concept.

Reham is no stranger to success, having won multiple competitions and hackathons during her 3-year journey as an undergraduate student with us. Reham, we are very proud of you!
