‘Finance and Tax Law for Digital Entrepreneurs’ with Dr Ghassan Azhari

On 19 February 2019 Middlesex University Dubai’s Institute for Entrepreneurship and Business Excellence (IEBE) organised an interactive session with Dr Ghassan Azhari, the Founder and Managing Partner of Azhari Legal Consultancy Dubai, who gave a talk on ‘Finance and Tax Laws for Digital Entrepeneurs’.
Dr Azhari set up his law firm in 2007. Prior to moving to Dubai, he practiced corporate insolvency and tax law in Berlin, Germany. Dr Azhari is a specialist in the fields of corporate and tax law and an advisor to corporate and high net worth clients in structuring their global investments from a legal and tax perspective. Dr Azhari also advises e-commerce entrepreneurs in the GCC and Europe on how to structure businesses. Aside from being an accredited tax lawyer in Germany and a visiting professor for international taxation at the SRH Hochschule in Berlin, Dr Azhari is also a practitioner at the DIFC courts and handles numerous international arbitration cases.
During the talk he provided the audience with valuable insights on ‘what is important’ and ‘where the focus should be’ while establishing a digital business. The event was also an opportunity for IEBE members to present their business ventures for feedback from various successful entrepreneurs who were also among the audience.
