Dr Krishnadas Nanath wins Best Research Paper award at HCT Business Analytics Conference

Dr Krishnadas Nanath, Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University Dubai won the ‘Best Research Paper’ Award at the Business Intelligence and Analytics Conference organised by the Higher Colleges of Technology from 1 – 2 May 2018. The award was given in recognition of his paper ‘Using Data Analytics to Deliver Dynamic Safety Predictions for Reduction in Traffic Accidents’. The paper involved the concept of Dynamic Speed Limits (using Cloud Computing) based on predictive models from traffic accident data sets.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
