MDX Dubai students participate in The Emirates Environment Group Panel discussion

The Emirates Environment Group organized a lively and educative Panel Discussion at Fairmont The Palm last week.
The Panel’s title was ‘Rethinking Infrastructure: The 5P’s’ and it began with Mrs. Habiba Al Marashi, president of Arabian CSR Network and chairperson of EEG speech on the importance of the discussion with a focus on its relevance to the current sustainability focused environment in the UAE.
Mr. Saeed Al Babbar, chairman of Emirates Green Building Council (EGBC) was one of the panelists, who emphasized the council’s efforts in bringing sustainable building practices into the UAE. Mr. Jon Woodhead, the Regional Assessment Services Manager for DNV GL was the next panelist, and he spoke about the primary challenges faced in infrastructure and environment and the various opportunities that societal members should avail of.
Middlesex University Dubai, a long-serving member of the EEG, was represented at the event by the enthusiastic 5 members of the University’s Public Speaking Club – Fearless: Nirali, Meshkat, Rebecca, Salma and Asiya. Our Team actively participated in the related discussion with the panelists. We look forward to more related events in the future!
