- Wednesday, 26 October 2016
Dr. Fehmida Hussain, Campus Programme Coordinator for the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics (DCEI) department at Middlesex University Dubai, was invited as a speaker on the topic of ‘An Education Perspective: Women in STEM’ at the Global Women in Stem Conference and Awards, October 25th & 26th, Dubai. Dr. Fehmida has been involved in promoting Women in STEM initiatives for many years and is also the University’s Ambassador at the Emirates Digital Association for Women (EDAW).
In this 3rd edition of the Global Women in STEM Conference and Awards, some of the most accomplished women in STEM are gathering to deliberate and discuss how women are participating in STEM fields. The Conference was organized by the Meera Kaul Foundation (MKF), and our university has proudly partnered with the MKF on many occasions to promote such initiatives.
Many students from the DCEI volunteered at the conference to help organize and coordinate the conference activities. The organizers and the delegates were impressed with our students’ professionalism and dedication.
