Nearly 30 members from academic faculties and professional services came along to Middlesex University Dubai’s Quality Café on Tuesday 29 January 2019. This exciting session was organised by the Quality Office in collaboration with our Happiness & Wellbeing Taskforce.
The theme of this wellbeing event was to “cultivate seeds of gratitude to grow into a field of personal harmony by creating your gratitude jar!” Practicing gratitude is one of those tiny little changes that will bring incredible benefits time and time again: happiness, inner peace, better relationships, prosperity, and good health. The idea behind the gratitude jar is to make a routine of jotting down the little things that made you happy during your day, in an effort to remember to be grateful for the positive moments instead of dwelling on the negative. Then, you simply drop the piece of paper into the jar as a reminder of those simple moments that made you smile.
The session was presented by our colleague Nathalie Kachouh, Lecturer in the Media Department. Participants were provided with a wide range of art materials and encouraged to think like an artist and evelop their unique expressive style and creative voice.
