AGENDA: This session deals with: Student Voice Leaders (SVLs). These are student volunteers who act as a link between the student body and the staff of the university. SVLs attend their Programme Voice Groups once a term in order to provide feedback to the university about their cohorts experience on their programme. SVLs will work with staff to focus on finding a way to develop and improve the academic experience of students on their programme.
We will explore topics like the Role of SVLs, benefits to the University, dealing with SVLs, expectations of staff, expectations of students, and training matters. This will be an interactive session.
SVLs provide feedback on all academic matters, addressing both individual module level and programme-wide issues. They also discuss university support services and facilities on campus/online. Therefore this session is relevant to heads of programmes, faculty members (especially recently recruited colleagues) as well as administrative teams.
