AGENDA: This session deals with: Programme Progress Reviews (PPRs). We will also feedback to colleagues on how we plan to address their excellent suggestions from last week’s session.
DESCRIPTION: Guidance 3(xv) of the Middlesex University Learning and Quality Enhancement Handbook (LQEH) explains that: The Programme Progress Review (PPR) initiative aims to engage students undertaking an undergraduate programme in scheduled meetings with academic staff at points during the academic year, predominantly the first year.
Those of us teaching first year modules on IFP/undergraduate programmes will conduct these very shortly in Week 4/5. So this session will be quite timely. Subsequently for all levels, these reviews will take place in Weeks 8/9 and Weeks 14/15. Hence this session will be relevant to academic staff teaching at all levels in our IFP/undergraduate programmes.
Colleagues in our Administrative and Support services may also want to attend these sessions since we get a lot of feedback (especially in initial rounds of PPRs) relating to student induction, facilities and support services.
