Kortext eTextbooks are now available to Dubai students for all modules that have a Kortext eTextbook assigned.
Kortext Personal eTextbook’s are available through Kortext for each student’s modules, where a Kortext eTextbook is available. The scheme is run in partnership with the company Kortext and our Hendon campus.
NOTE: Kortext eTextbooks are only available for modules where one has been assigned. In some programmes (including IFP, Media, Film, Graphic Design, and Fashion) there may not be any Kortext eTextbooks used or assigned. However, all students have access to all available Kortext ebooks through Library Search.
There are two ways to access Kortext eTextbooks.
1. Accessing all Kortext eTextbooks through the Library.
In total, more than 900 Kortext eTextbooks have been added to the the Library’s ebook collection (bringing the total to more than 129,000 ebooks) and are available for all students to access. This includes all Kortext eTextbooks assigned to their own modules as well as all Kortext eTextbooks assigned to all modules in Hendon and Dubai. These ebooks will appear in results of Library Search.
Students can identify specific Kortext eTextbooks through their module readings lists.
2. Accessing your eTextbooks through Kortext
Personal Kortext eTextbooks for your own modules (where a Kortext ebook has been assigned) are accessible directly through Kortext.
Once enrolled onto your modules, look for emails from Kortext sent to your Middlesex University email account, usually from the address email@example.com. One of the first emails will include your login details and password.
Access your personal eTextbooks by logging into myUniHub. Go to myLearning and in any of your module areas look down the right hand column for the personal eTextbook icon. Click to access your free eTextbook.
You may also be able to access by logging in directly to Kortext by clicking HERE. Please search and select Middlesex University from the first box to continue to the Unihub login screen.
Kortext also allows access through their mobile apps. Further details can be found here http://www.kortext.com/support/ or visit the eTextbooks support page on Unihub.
