Psychology, Sociology, and Social work

New for the ERPBSD 2018 conference, this track involves the related fields of psychology, sociology, and social work. The focus of this track is on human cognition and behaviour, and the complex relationships of human beings in their social environments. The themes (listed below) span diverse areas of research, but all have a shared focus on recent developments in the generation and application of theory. Researcher presentations are welcome. We are pleased to invite papers that discuss, support, or challenge contemporary theory and practice through research evidence. Practitioner presentations from those working in fields related to psychology, sociology, and social work are also encouraged. The practitioner sessions can focus on the experiences of those working in these professions, their use of best practice, and/or incorporation of research principles in their roles with clients or patients. We can learn much from each other’s disciplines and we hope that this track will encourage productive discussion and debate on these issues.

Submissions may be on a range topics, including those listed below. We also welcome presentations that focus on other topics. The goal of this track is to provide a forum to discuss issues that are relevant and of interest to our conference delegates.
