Will I have the same faculty teaching me?

Every module taught at both campuses will be assigned to the same module coordinator and will be delivered by the same teaching team. Modules with greater student numbers will be delivered by a larger teaching team, members of which will be assigned different learning sessions across the two campuses.

Will my tuition fee change since I won’t have the same space accessible to me (for example, the Fashion Studio in Block 16 and Gaming Room in Block 19?)

All university resources (physical and online) are available to all students across both campus locations. Free frequent transportation will be offered between DIAC and DKP to allow students to participate in events and use the resources based across the two campus locations.

Your tuition fee does not depend on the location of your campus, but instead on the programme you choose and which scholarships and grants you are eligible for. Middlesex University Dubai offers a range of scholarship and grants, including a guaranteed 15% Academic Scholarship for all UAE high school students. Taking into this account, students are able to study on the International Foundation Programme for just AED 39,980 per year and the undergraduate programmes for AED 47,345 on offer at both Dubai locations. There are also no application fees when applying to programmes taught at both sites, as well as flexible payment plans for all students.

Will the transport fee differ between both campuses?

There will be a free shuttle service available to and from the DIAC and DKP campuses, as well as between each campus and The Myriad, significantly reducing travel costs. All MDX students can use the free transport service between all locations, allowing you to be part of the student experience and academic community available at both MDX Dubai campuses.

If I opt for the campus in Dubai International Academic City, can I still access the facilities in Dubai Knowledge Park, and vice versa?

All university resources (physical and online) are available to all students across both campus locations. Free frequent transportation will be offered between DIAC and DKP to allow students to participate in events and use resources across the two locations.

What facilities are available at the campus?

Our DIAC campus offers the same world-class, state-of-the-art facilities and student services as those at our DKP campus, but with their own dedicated learning and recreational spaces. These services and facilities are available for MDX students from both campuses to use and benefit from.

The new campus will host a new Student Think Tank, a dedicated innovation lab providing an open, welcoming space for students to brainstorm and try out ideas, whether this is related to your studies or not. There will also be an on-campus business hub, as well as extended student services in line with those offered from the main campus, such as the Centre for Academic Success and Careers and Employability Service.

The DIAC campus will also house a dedicated Student Zone for recreation and relaxation, which students will be able to personalise and make their own according to their interests. Sports and social activities launched in partnership with The Myriad will also be an integral part of the MDX DIAC student community. Students will be able to train and compete in a variety of different sports, as well as get involved in events hosted on site, such as DJ Nights, Beat Box and Karaoke Nights, Cinema Evenings, Chill Out Nights and more.

Will there be transportation to and from the campus from The Myriad?

There will be a free shuttle service available to and from the DIAC and DKP campuses, as well as between each campus and The Myriad, significantly reducing travel costs. All MDX students can use the free transport service between all locations.

Will I have a mix of classes at both the DIAC and DKP campuses?

At Middlesex University Dubai, we follow a blended learning approach consisting of (primarily) in-person classes with some online learning components. Students studying at DIAC may have to attend some face-to-face classes at DKP. For example, some IFP pathway modules and UG optional modules will be offered at DKP only. Free frequent transportation will be offered between DIAC and DKP.

What if I want to take a few classes in DIAC and a few in DKP? Would that be possible?

Students will opt for and be assigned to DKP or DIAC as their main campus at the start of the academic year, and they would have to commit to this choice until the end of the academic year. Change of campus during the academic year may be exceptionally approved, upon written request, if seats are available.

Students studying at DIAC may have to attend some face-to-face classes at DKP. For example, some IFP pathway modules and UG optional modules will be offered at DKP only. For details, please contact your Campus Programme Coordinator.

I live in Sharjah/Ajman/the Northern Emirates. Will there be transportation from my location to both campuses?

We will extend the current transport services available to students living in Sharjah and Ajman to our new DIAC campus, continuing to provide affordable dedicated transport connections. Should the demand arise for student transportation from the Northern Emirates (Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah), we will consider extending our transport routes. We are also offering a free shuttle service from the Rashidiya and Burjuman metro stations to the DIAC campus.

Is there any further reduction on tuition fees for the DIAC campus instead of the main campus?

Our tuition fee does not depend on the location of your campus, but instead on the programme you choose and which scholarships and grants you are eligible for. Middlesex University Dubai offers a range of scholarship and grants, including a guaranteed 15% Academic Scholarship for all UAE high school students. Taking this into account, students are able to study on the International Foundation Programme for just AED 39,980 per year and on all 32 undergraduate programmes for AED 47,345. There are also no application fees when applying to programmes taught at both sites, as well as flexible payment plans for all students.

All university resources (physical and online) are available to all students across both campus locations. Free frequent transportation will be offered between DIAC and DKP to allow students to participate in events and use the resources based across the two campus locations.

How do I access student support services like Careers, Student Activities and meetings with my lecturers?

A representative of the Careers and Employability Services, Student Activities and the Centre for Academic Success teams will be present at DIAC at least once per week. Furthermore, members of those departments will be available for virtual meetings with students across campuses. Lecturers teaching classes at DIAC will schedule in-person consultation hours at DIAC and will also be available for online consultation meetings.

Students studying at DIAC will also be able to make in person appointments with members of the Library and Visa Departments.

Will transportation costs for students living other emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman) remain the same for the DIAC campus?

There will be a specific and very affordable rate for student transportation from these emirates to the DIAC campus. This is still to be confirmed, and we will release more information about this soon.

Will there be similar resources at the DIAC campus to the ones available to me in Dubai Knowledge Park (Library, Visa Office, Careers, etc.)?

The learning experience at DIAC is supported by a student experience with a difference! There will be a Student Zone, a dedicated innovation space for DIAC students to own and add their identity to; state-of-the-art equipment in our Learning Labs; a Student Think Tank space where you can get a group of your learning peers together to brainstorm and bring an idea to life; and your own business hub, a space where students can get careers advice linking real time to the main campus at DKP.

A representative of the Careers and Employability Services, Student Activities and the Centre for Academic Success will be present at DIAC at least once per week, offering students comprehensive, personalised health and wellbeing support related to student counselling, learning disability support, academic skills workshops and more.

Will the DIAC campus have free parking facilities?

Free parking facilities are available and offered by Dubai International Academic City (DIAC). There are two main car parks each within a short walk of our building.

Will professors be available for consultations at the DIAC Campus? Or do we need to book an appointment for the DKP campus only?

Your professors and lecturers will be available on campus in person, as well as virtually. There will be dedicated meeting hours available for you to discuss any concerns you have.
