EVENT SCHEDULE: Session-3 of our weekly Knowledge Café will be on Tuesday (15th of October), at 3pm in Room 008 in Block 17 (Please note the change in venue)
AGENDA: This week’s Knowledge Café will focus on the Care and Concern and Inclusivity framework at MDX.
Care and Concern is a procedure which manages a holistic approach which students and staff can use to refer, report and get support for non-academic concerns - issues relating to the conduct (or potential misconduct), health, wellbeing, risk of harm, or safety of a student. The procedure addresses three key policies: Safeguarding (including Prevent), Fitness to Study and Student Conduct and Discipline.
To support these policies, the Centre for Academic Success (CAS) will also lead a discussion in the second half of the session about areas relating to inclusion that the staff may need to be aware of. The faculty and staff will gain insight into support provided by the CAS and thus will be able to signpost students and proceed with increased confidence. This session is therefore relevant to heads of programmes, faculty members as well as administrative teams.
